Mayor Greg Ballard, in partnership with Develop Indy, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and the International Center, will lead a group of top business, research & education leaders on a trade mission to Australia and we want you to be part of the team!


Australia (Sydney & Melbourne) 
September 21- October 1, 2012

The trade mission will focus on target industry sectors including Life Sciences, Automotive/Motorsports, Defense & Information Technology.

As a delegate you will play an active role in our mission to: 

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key business, political and cultural leaders in Australia
  • Promote Indianapolis’ strong business climate to attract investment and increase trade opportunities for Indianapolis-based companies
  • Develop closer cultural ties through the arts, sports, education, research collaborations and other exchanges that can bring the people of Indianapolis and Australia closer together

A $2,000 delegate sponsorship is required. Delegate participation contributions underwrite the overall expense of the trade mission and cover a delegate’s in-country ground transportation, special events and meals.  Delegates are additionally responsible to pay for their airfare, hotel, passport and required visas.
