America Invents Act: Timing is Everything Seminar

Monday, September 19, 2011
Noon-1:30 p.m. (ET)

On September 8, 2011, the U.S. Senate passed the America Invents Act and the bill will be forwarded to President Obama who is expected to sign it immediately. Few American businesses will be unaffected by this Act, which changes the first-to-invent principles of patent law that have existed since the first patent law was enacted in 1790.

Please join us at 12:00 pm EDT for lunch and a discussion of how these changes will affect businesses. Our speakers will review the new laws and discuss relevant issues.

  • Brian P. Barrett, Senior Director and Assistant General Patent Counsel, Eli Lilly
  • William A. Morrison, Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Intellectual Property for HIll-Rom
  • Jim Burdett, Partner, Barnes & Thornburg LLP

The seminar will be broadcast to several different locations. See the bottom of this email for specific information
