The Directors Roundtable has invited the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and the accounting and consulting firm of Plante & Moran, PLLC to share their expertise regarding the Health Care Reform law and tools that attendees will need. Many of the provisions are already in effect, while others will be phased in over the next 18 months. This seminar will cover the healthcare regulatory aspects of the new law, changes in accounting procedures that will impact providers and other health care entities, and the ways in which changes in the new law will affect clinical practice and the use of health care technology. Among other subjects, the distinguished speakers will cover new payment and delivery systems, amendments to enforcement rules for fraud and abuse, valuation of practices in purchase transactions, and the use of electronic medical data to improve efficiency and reduce costs. These subjects will be of great interest to anyone engaged in the management of a health care business.
